In "For Waging War Is My Cosmic Duty, " what is Anzaldua's argument? What makes her argument effective or ineffective?

In this essay, I believe that Anzaldua's argument is this:
"Thus the Aztec nation fell...because the ruling elite had subverted the solidarity between men and women and between noble and commoner."(71) I haven't decided yet, if I think her argument is effective or ineffective.

I think she effectively shows that once the scales tip too far the society breaks. Whether it is between the sexes or the classes there must be balance in all things.

I agree, I like how she calls it "Balanced Opposition" in the subtitle of that section. I think that it shows that opposition in all things is good and necessary. That not only does there need to be a balance but there must be two points of views. I think that she is trying to show that the loss of the point of view of women in the Aztecs is what caused the men to go to war and ruin a nation. With out the women to oppose what the men where saying there was no one to contradict them and make them think twice.
